The Protagonist

The given Protagonist - Lucy May Schofield, a lady of many professions, many talents but an ungiven title. My blog will be based on gathering information (research) in order to create a space for her work and maybe even Lucy herself. Hopefully through looking at my online diary of daily findings you will be able to understand why i perceive her work the way i do, without describing her job role.

A temporary space

Through research I found these different space. I was really intrigued by the fact that they are made out of natural materials such as the outside space-like a wooden tepee, or the cell made from books, which I suppose in itself is bibliotherapy.

How would Lucy fit into a small transient space

I wanted to look at ways in which a space could be used in more than one way, although these pictures are quite obvious, I found them interesting. each space is almost a hybrid in how it can become something different from what its original use was. Lucy will be working and living in the same compact space so it is important that all elements from both areas combine and work together to make this space practical yet comfortable.

The Transient space

With lucy travelling across country I thought about a space that could travel with her from buses to trailers even bicycles. This space would be a place where lucy could store her books/collections and also live comfortably.

Forms of storage

I also wanted to look into forms of storage as Lucy has a lot of books and objects that travel around the country with her for her bibliotherapy work. Her permanent work space would also require alot of storage such as her own personal space, her workshops and thinking/tea time.
